Hope, Help & Resources for those with Limb Loss in Worcester Area.
UMass Memorial & New England Amputee Association (NEAA) are pleased to announce we have joined forces to provide resources and informational meetings for amputees and their families. Amputees will have a place to go each month to gather information, share experiences and meet other amputees. These meetings are free of charge and open to all amputees and their families. Valet parking is free and refreshments will be provided.
Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6pm-8pm at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, 55 N. Lake Ave., Worcester. We will meet in the Aaron Lazare Medical Research Building on the first floor; valet will start at 5:45. (Campus map is at www.umassmed.edu/about/directions/campusmap).
This will be a Meet and Greet meeting. A time to learn about our programs and share insights to living a full life as an amputee.
The NEAA was founded in 2004. Our mission is to reach out to people with limb loss and provide a supportive environment where information and experiences are shared and friendships are formed.
We believe that together, we can move from “limb loss” to “limitless”!
The NEAA organizes regular meetings, schedules guest speakers, hosts meet-ups, cookouts and other events, conducts peer visits, provides education and demonstrations. We advocate for and increase the visibility of issues relating to limb loss. For more information or to get involved, visit our website: www.NewEnglandAmputeeAssociation.com
